ALL athletes should check all their medications, via the Drug Information/Drug Search prior to use

All Athletes and Athlete Support Personnel for such Athletes, entering a BCU and ICF event may be subject to Doping Control rules and procedures.  Therefore all Athletes and their Athlete Support Personnel entering any BCU National Ranking Competition, Selection/Assessment Race or ICF Events are required to sign the ICF/UK Anti-Doping Rules Acknowledgement and Agreement Form.  Notwithstanding whether or not this form has been signed, the Athletes, Athlete Support Personnel and other Persons, participation within these events shall be bound by the ICF and UK Anti-Doping Rules.

Parental Consent
For all athletes under 18 a completed Parental Consent form is also required confirming consent to the taking of a blood or urine sample and that the athlete will be bound by these rules. Both the Athlete Acknowledge Agreement and Parental Consent Form should be returned to Andy Goodsell – BCU Competition Manager, when completed.

Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) and Declaration of Use (DOU's)
Any Athlete with a documented medical condition requiring the use of a Prohibited Substance or a Prohibited Method may need to complete an ICF TUE Application Form, or ICF Declaration of Use prior to entering a competition.

This will generally apply to athletes competing in the top National Divisions for their chosen sport and any athlete considering selection towards a National Team or Squad. You can check the Drug Information Database to see if your medication is included within the Prohibited List.  Retrospective TUE's/DOU's may be permitted for Emergency Use medication.

All completed TUE's, DOU's, and questions relating to TUE’s / DOU's  should be forwarded to Andy Goodsell (BCU Competition Manager) either by e-mail, fax or post - These will then be passed on to the ICF for approval
