The GB Canoeing Olympic Programmes were set up in 1998 with ongoing funding support from UK Sport lottery funding and are dedicated to supporting the most talented British athletes in the Olympic disciplines of Canoe Slalom and Canoe Sprint to win medals at the highest level. Having consistently won Olympic medals since 2000, the sport gained its first Olympic Champion in 2008. Our overall aim is to win more gold medals in 2012.
The GB Canoeing Olympic Programme is based at three High Performance Centres in Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham, Lee Valley, Hertfordshire and Bisham Abbey, near Marlow. The GB Canoeing Olympic Programme operates a no compromise philosophy and delivers excellence through continuous improvement.
